Geckos: There are more than 1000 species of geckos that are small to medium in size. The pet trade has a large variety of geckos available. Some of the most popular are the leopard geckos, crested geckos, day geckos and many more.

Where are these found?
Pakistan

What is the lifespan?
A well cared for Leopard Gecko can live for more than 20 years.

What size will they get?
Typically grow to a length of about 6-9 inches

What do they eat?
Crickets, mealworms, superworms and waxworms

Food Item Options: Along with the insects listed above these lizards require a calcium supplement. Place a small container of calcium in the cage to allow the gecko to lick the calcium as needed. Without this calcium supplement your gecko can develop health issues.


What can I house my new pet in?
You can easily house them in either a screened cage, terrarium, or glass tank.

Bedding: Keep in mind that these geckos come from an arid environment and require a substrate that does not retain humidity. Some choices include calcium sands, newspapers, paper towels.


Watering: Provide a shallow water dish.


Hiding spot: Almost anything can be used as a hide or cover for them. Items that can be used from PVC pipe to wide variety of hides available at a pet shop.


Temperatures: Temperatures between 78-88° with a basking area of 95°.

What is the lifespan?
At this point the true captive longevity of these animals is not know; however, a well cared for
crested can live for more than 15 years.

What size will they get?
Typically grow to a length of about 7-9 inches

What do they eat?
They are omnivorous.
Food Item Options: They love their crickets, however they need a variety. Although a
crested gecko diet can be purchased, you can feed them any fruit flavored baby food.
Keep in mind that they like tropical fruits like mango, banana, apricot, etc...

What can I house my new pet in?
You can easily house them in either a screened cage, terrarium, or glass tank.
Bedding: A wide variety of bedding can be used from paper towels to reptile bark. Keep
in mind that NO REPTILES should ever use cedar or pine shavings... Cedar can kill your
reptiles.
Watering: They like to drink water that has been sprayed, you can accomplish this by
simply using a spray bottle and spraying the enclosure once a day. This also helps
provide higher humidity for them as well.
Hiding spot: Almost anything can be used as a hide or cover for them. Items that can be
used from PVC pipe to vines and fake foliage.

Temperatures 65-80°F. Rule of thumb room temperature is fine as long as it falls between 72-
80° temperatures between 65-72° should only be for a period no longer then a few months.

Typically grow to a length of about 8 inches

What do they eat?
They are omnivorous.
Food Item Options: They love their crickets and other insects; however, they need a
variety. Although a crested gecko diet is available, you can feed them any fruit flavored
baby food with tropical fruits like mango, banana, apricot, etc...

What can I house my new pet in?
You can easily house them in either a screened cage, terrarium, or glass tank.
Bedding: A wide variety of bedding can be used from paper towels to reptile bark. Keep
in mind that NO REPTILES should ever use cedar or pine shavings... Cedar can kill your
reptiles.
